Integrate your chatbot with WordPress by using Denser's WordPress plugin. If your site was built with WordPress, it easier to integrate and maintain Denser chatbot with your website by using Denser's WordPress plugin described in this guide. You no longer need to embed code snippet as described in Website Integration Guide.

There are 2 different ways to install Denser Chat WordPress plugin. This guide illustrates installation of Denser WordPress plugin in LocalWp, which is a popular development tool for WordPress. Installation of plugin should be similar in WordPress or other WordPress development tools.

Default Installation

Select Plugins from side panel. Click Add New Plugin to start with.

Enter keyword denser in the Search Plugins text field. You can find Denser plugin similar to the following screenshot. Then click Install Now to install the latest stable version of Denser plugin. After installation is completed, make sure to click Activate button.

Install by Uploading

To download the latest stable version of Denser WordPress Plugin, navigate to Denser plugin at WordPress site and click Download button. Denser plugin is downloaded as a zip file.

At the Add Plugins screen, click Upload Plugin to expand the file upload panel. Click Choose File button and then upload the downloaded Denser plugin zip file.

When upload is completed, Denser plugin should appear in the table of installed plugins. Find the table row for Denser plugin and click Activate in the table row.

Denser Plugin Settings

After successful installation of Denser plugin, please navigate to Settings panel. Please find your Denser chatbot ID from your Denser account, and enter this chatbot ID in Denser Chatbot ID input field.

When you integrate chatbot with your website, it is likely you chose to use this chatbot to serve public anonymous visitors on your website. In this case, please ensure that you set the chatbot mode to public in the Denser Security configuration. Please refer to this access control guide to enable public visitors on your site to interact with the chatbot.

You can choose the web pages that you would like to add Denser chatbot by setting Denser Bot Location option. 3 options are available.

[All Pages] Denser chatbot widget is added to all the pages on your website.

[Home Page Only] Denser chatbot widget is only added to home page.

[Specific Pages] Denser chatbot is added to home page by default. In additional you can explicitly specify a set of web pages to add Denser chatbot widget by listing page IDs separated by comma.

After saving your Denser settings with corret Denser chatbot ID, you should see Denser chatbot widget is successfully integrated with your website.
